September Meeting Recap

Here’s a quick recap of what happened at the September meeting:

For the September meeting, we invited Justin Grammens, the owner of
Localtone Interactive to present a deep dive into Google Android.
Justin went through a thorough presentation and presented the code for a
simple demo Android application that loaded the tc-gtug.org website, RSS
feed, and the RSS feed from our Google Group in a tabbed layout.  We
reviewed the code and actually submitted and published the application
into the Android Market during the meeting.

As we wrapped up the Android materials, we discussed plans for future
meetings and decided to dive into Google Chrome in October and AppEngine
in November.  If you know someone who could talk about either topic in
depth, please have them contact me.  If we can’t find an expert in the
area, we can divide up the presentation and everyone can do a little
research on a specific angle and come and present what they found.

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities

TC-GTUG is looking for corporate sponsors to provide food/drinks for
upcoming meetings.  For the price of pizza and drinks (usually under
$100), you get 10 minutes of time at the meeting to talk about your
company and products.  Contact me if you are interested.

Thanks everyone!
